Root Beer-Glazed Chicken Wings

  1. Melt butter in small saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Add shallots and garlic; cook and stir 1 to 2 min.
  3. or until shallots are crisp-tender.
  4. Stir in root beer.
  5. Return to boil; simmer until reduced by half.
  6. Stir in barbecue sauce and chile powder.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat.
  9. Add wings, in batches; cook 8 to 10 min.
  10. or until done, turning after 5 min.
  11. Drain on paper towels.
  12. Place wings in large bowl.
  13. Add barbecue sauce mixture; toss to evenly coat wings.
