Pot Roast in Wine-Crock Pot Recipe

  1. Mix together the first 8 ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Heat the oil and butter in a heavy skillet over medium high heat and brown the roast on all sides.
  3. Place the roast in your crock pot and pour over top the mixture of 8 ingredients.
  4. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  5. When done mix together in a large saucepan the cornstarch, water, and marinade.
  6. Cook over high heat stirring constantly until mixture begins to thicken.
  7. Whisk in the wine and add the orange slices, heating through.
  8. Slice roast and serve with wine gravy and orange slices.
  9. Garnish with parsley if you wish.
