- 1 pound Ground Italian Sausage

- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes--just A Sprinkle (don't Use If The Italian Sausage Is Spicy)

- 1/2 pounds Whole Wheat Spaghetti Noodles
- Finely Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Over medium heat, cook the sausage, onion, and garlic together in a deep frying pan or a saucepan.
- If you choose to use red pepper flakes, add them while you are cooking the sausage.
- (I add just a light sprinkle.
- Dont use it if the sausage is a spicy Italian sausage.)
- Drain the grease from the pan.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stir and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Put a lid on the pan and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Adjust seasonings and add salt if needed.
- While the sauce is simmering prepare the spaghetti noodles according to package directions.
- Dont forget to salt the water!
- When its done, drain the pasta.
- To serve, top a plate full of the pasta with sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
- (As if I needed to tell you to do that part.)
