Beef Teriyaki On A Stick Recipe

  3. Combine soy sauce, vermouth and brown sugar in small saucepan.
  4. Heat to boil; cook, stirring, till sugar dissolves, 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in oil, garlic, vinegar and pepper.
  7. Transfer marinade to large bowl; let cold.

  9. Slice meat crosswise on diagonal into thin strips.
  10. Toss meat with marinade in medium bowl.
  11. Chill 2 to 6 hrs, stirring occasionally.
  12. Cover bamboo skewers with water; soak 30 min.

  14. Remove meat from marinade.
  15. Working over bowl to catch juices, thread meat strips onto bamboo skewers, leaving about 3 inches of the blunt ends for handles.

  17. Heat grill pan over medium heat till warm.
  18. Place skewers on pan in batches if necessary.
  19. Grill, turning 2 or possibly 3 times, till lightly browned and cooked through, about 3-4 min.
