Brown Fried RiceHey, it is Still Good!

  1. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the oil, then the mushrooms.
  3. Stir-fry until limp, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the rice and soy sauce and stir-fry until the grains of rice have separated and coated, about 30 seconds.
  5. Push the mushrooms and rice to the side of the pan with a wooden spoon or paddle.
  6. Add the egg and scramble for 30 seconds.
  7. Stir to break up the rice, and mix the contents of the pan together.
  8. Stir in the bacon and green onions, and stir-fry for 30 seconds to 1 minute more to heat through.
