Rum-Nut Pudding Cake
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 1 (1 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
- 4 eggs
- 12 cup water
- 14 cup vegetable oil
- 13 cup dark rum
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 cup butter
- 14 cup water
- 13 cup dark rum
- Sprinkle nuts evenly in bottom of greased and floured 10-inch tube or fluted tube pan.
- Combine cake mix, eggs, 1/2 cup water, the oil, and 1/3 cup rum in large mixing bowl.
- Beat at low speed in electric mixer just to moisten, scraping sides of bowl often.
- Beat at medium speed for 4 minutes.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
