Easy and Tasty Granny Smith Cake
- 1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix (I use Duncan Hines)
- 3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 13 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 1 13 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 2 granny smith apples
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 (8 ounce) container heavy whipping cream (I think it's 8oz, the standard size in the dairy section)
- Prepare yellow cake mix according to directions, including greasing your cake pan.
- Pour into pan.
- Peel and chop apples.
- Toss apples in sugar/cinnamon mixture until coated.
- Drop apples into cake mixture.
- Pour heavy whipping cream over cake mixture.
- Bake according to directions on cake mix box.
- Serve with whipped cream and or ice cream.
