Ammo Meatloaf And Gravy Recipe

  1. For the Meatloaf: Heat butter in skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add in green onions, white onion, carrots, celery, red and green peppers and garlic.
  3. Saute/fry till soft, about 10 min.
  4. Combine salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, cumin and Large eggs in large mixing bowl.
  5. Add in ketchup and half-and-half.
  6. Blend thoroughly with vegetable mix.
  7. Add in turkey, chicken sausage and bread crumbs to vegetable mix.
  8. Mix with hands to create loaf.
  9. Place in a greased 9- by 5-inch loaf pan.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees till cooked through and nicely browned, 45 to 60 min.
  11. Let rest 10 min before serving with Gravy.
  12. For the Gravy: Heat 1 Tbsp.

  14. Add in shallots, thyme, bay leaf, pepper to taste and red and yellow peppers.
  15. Saute/fry over medium heat till tender, about 10 min.
  16. Add in half-and-half, 1 tsp.
  17. pepper, garlic and beef and chicken stocks.
  18. Simmer, uncovered, over high heat till liquid is reduced by 1/4, about 10 min.
  19. Add in tomatoes and ketchup and bring to a simmer.
  20. Cook, covered, 20 min.
  21. Stir in remaining butter and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  22. Strain gravy, discarding bay leaf and thyme before serving.
  23. This recipe yields 6 servings.
