Extremely Easy! Hamburger Steaks Simmered in Ketchup Sauce
- 250 grams Minced meat (with minimal fat)
- 1/2 cup panko (I used sliced bread crusts)
- 100 ml Milk
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 Egg
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 packages Mushrooms (Shimeji, Maitake, etc.)
- 100 ml Ketchup
- 380 ml Water (Vegetable Juice if you have it)
- Add milk to the panko to soften.
- Add the microwaved onions, ground meat, and eggs to a bowl and knead.
- Add salt and pepper, and nutmeg if you have.
- Fry on both sides in a frying pan.
- Wipe out the excess grease in the pan with a paper towel.
- Add the onions and mushrooms.
- You don't need to saute them.
- Squueze in the ketchup.
- Add the water (or vegetable juice if you have it... this makes the flavor richer).
- Cover with a lid without stirring and slowly boil over low-medium heat.
- The moisture that comes out of the vegetables will turn the sauce into a tomato sauce.
- Simmer to reduce it down to your desired consistency.
- I added coffee cream as the finishing touch.
