Glazed Brie
- 23 cup finely chopped walnuts or 23 cup finely chopped pecans
- 14 cup Kahlua or 14 cup Amaretto
- 3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 ounces brie cheese (1 whole cheese)
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Spread nuts across the bottom of an ungreased pie plate.
- Bake 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until toasted.
- Stir in liqueur, brown sugar and vanilla.
- Reduce heat to 325F Slice the top layer of rind off the Brie.
- Place the cheese in a small, ungreased baking dish and top with the nut syrup.
- Bake 8-10 minutes until cheese is hot and soft.
- Serve with crackers and slices of apple and pear.
