Holiday House

  1. Line 1-1/2-qt.
  2. bowl or 8-inch loaf pan, and 8-inch square pan with foil extending about 2 inches beyond sides.
  3. Lightly grease foil; set aside.
  4. Microwave butter in 4-qt.
  5. microwaveable bowl sprayed with cooking spray on HIGH 45 sec.
  6. or until butter is melted.
  7. Add marshmallows; toss to coat.
  8. Microwave 1-1/2 min.
  9. ; stir.
  10. Microwave an additional 4 min., stirring after 2 min.
  11. Add cereal; mix well.
  12. Press 6 cups (about three-fourths) of the cereal mixture firmly into prepared bowl, using moistened or greased hands to press cereal mixture against sides and bottom of bowl to create 1-inch-thick shell.
  13. Press remaining cereal mixture firmly into bottom of prepared square pan.
  14. Let stand in cool dry place for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
  15. Lift cereal shapes from molds, using foil handles.
  16. Carefully peel off foil.
  17. With sharp knife, carefully cut "door" and "windows" from bowl-shaped house.
  18. (Kids, ask an adult to help you.)
  19. Spread 1 container of the frosting onto large plastic board to resemble snow.
  20. Place house on snow.
  21. Using additional frosting, attach cereal mixture square to top of house.
  22. Decorate as desired.
