Crunchy Pea Soup Recipe
- Half of a 24 ounce. pkg. frzn stew vegetables
- 1 1/4 c. boiling salted water
- 1 can condensed split pea with ham and bacon soup
- 1 c. cubed cooked ham
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. crunchy bean sprouts
- In large saucepan, cook vegetables, covered, in the boiling water till tender, about 20 min.
- Remove potatoes and any other large vegetables, cut up and return to pan.
- Stir in split pea soup, ham and lowfat milk.
- Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat and add in sprouts.
- Simmer 3 min.
- Garnish with additional sprouts if you like.
- Serves 6.
