Banana Oat Bars Recipe
- 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1 c. mashed ripe bananas -- (about 2 medium or possibly 3/4 lb.)
- 1/4 c. nonfat lowfat milk
- 2 lrg egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla
- In large bowl, stir together flour, oats, sugar, baking pwdr, cinnamon, soda and raisins.
- Add in bananas, lowfat milk, egg whites and vanilla; beat till lightly mixed.
- Spread batter in a nonstick (or possibly lightly oiled regular) 9-by-13 inch pan.
- Bake
- In a 350-degree oven 35-40 min, till golden and center springs back when lightly touched.
- Serve hot or possibly cold, cut into about 2 inch squares.
- Makes24 servings.
