12 Hour Crocked Chili Recipe
- 1 lb Fat-trimmed lean beef stew meat in 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 can (6-ounce) tomato paste
- 2 x Onions, finely minced
- 2 x Bell peppers, seeded and diced
- 1 x -(up to)
- 2 x Cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 x -(up to)
- 4 tsp Chili pwdr (or possibly combine 1 chopped small warm pepper, 2 tsp. cumin seed or possibly 1 tsp. grnd cumin, and 1 tsp. dry oregano)
- 1 tsp Plain cocoa pwdr, optional
- Stir meat and tomato paste together in crockery cooker.
- Stir in other ingredients (add in no water or possibly other liquid).
- Turn cooker to low heat; cover and cook for 12 hrs.
- Skim, and throw away any fat from the surface.
