Taco Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease pie pan.
  2. Let sour cream sit out until it can be stirred easily to a creamy consistency.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and drain.
  4. Wipe out skillet and return ground beef.
  5. Add taco seasoning and water.
  6. Simmer until water almost cooks off (not watery, but extra moist).
  7. You can adjust to suit your tastes when seasoning here (adding your own herbs/spices).
  8. Add salsa to seasoned meat and mix well.
  9. Remove from heat and keep covered so it stays hot and moist.
  10. Spread/press dough into pie pan.
  11. Layer the following ingredients in the pie pan as follows: half of crushed corn chips, seasoned meat, sour cream, shredded cheese, and remaining crushed corn chips.
  12. Drizzle melted butter evenly over pie and bake for about 20 minutes.
  13. Serve hot.
