Taco Pie
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 packages taco seasoning
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup salsa
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 -3 cups corn chips, crushed
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 can cresent rolls
- Preheat oven to 350 and grease pie pan.
- Let sour cream sit out until it can be stirred easily to a creamy consistency.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and drain.
- Wipe out skillet and return ground beef.
- Add taco seasoning and water.
- Simmer until water almost cooks off (not watery, but extra moist).
- You can adjust to suit your tastes when seasoning here (adding your own herbs/spices).
- Add salsa to seasoned meat and mix well.
- Remove from heat and keep covered so it stays hot and moist.
- Spread/press dough into pie pan.
- Layer the following ingredients in the pie pan as follows: half of crushed corn chips, seasoned meat, sour cream, shredded cheese, and remaining crushed corn chips.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over pie and bake for about 20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
