Deep Freeze Latte
- 10 ounces coffee
- 4 ounces milk
- dry sweetener (optional)
- liquid sweetener (optional)
- Freeze the coffee in an ice cube tray.
- Use shaped ice trays to improve the presentation of the coffee cubes.
- To serve, heat the milk using your preferred method.
- If you're using a dry sweetener like sugar, you'll need to add it in to the milk while it's hot.
- Fill a tall glass with coffee cubes.
- Do not allow the cubes to overshoot the rim of the glass.
- Pour the hot milk into the glass of coffee cubes.
- If you're using a liquid sweetener, like honey or syrup, you can add it now.
- Stir and enjoy as the coffee cubes melt and the latte gets increasingly cold.
- Play around with the proportions of coffee cubes to milk, according to your preference.
- Safety reminder: When pouring hot liquid into a glass, put a metal spoon (or anything metal) in the glass to absorb the heat of the liquid and prevent damage to the glass.
