Golden Hash Browns

  1. wash and peel the potato, shred potato into a bowl,
  2. boil the cup of water, or place in microwave for 2 minutes.
  3. pour boiled water into shredded potatoes, cover the potatoes with a plate, let set for 10 minutes.
  4. now take a clean kitchen towel, and a colander, drain potatoes in the colander, then put potatoes in the kitchen towel and squeeze excess water out out potatoes
  5. place the potatoes back into the bowl, make sure the bowl is dry.
  6. now on medium-high heat, in a nonstick skillet, add 1 1/2 tablespoon of butter, let butter melt and let the skellet get hot .
  7. u will need the other part of butter for the next hash brown.
  8. add a handfull of potatoes into the hot skillet, fron the hash brown in a circle shape, let it brown on each side, for 4 minutes each side.
  9. u can flip the hash brown on at the 4 minutes are up, if u want to cook it a little longer its up to u. i recommand 4 minutes on each side, but some heat is different.
  10. now place on plate and salt and pepper to taste and serve.
