Golden Hash Browns
- 1 Extra lage Russet Potato
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 cup boiling hot water
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- wash and peel the potato, shred potato into a bowl,
- boil the cup of water, or place in microwave for 2 minutes.
- pour boiled water into shredded potatoes, cover the potatoes with a plate, let set for 10 minutes.
- now take a clean kitchen towel, and a colander, drain potatoes in the colander, then put potatoes in the kitchen towel and squeeze excess water out out potatoes
- place the potatoes back into the bowl, make sure the bowl is dry.
- now on medium-high heat, in a nonstick skillet, add 1 1/2 tablespoon of butter, let butter melt and let the skellet get hot .
- u will need the other part of butter for the next hash brown.
- add a handfull of potatoes into the hot skillet, fron the hash brown in a circle shape, let it brown on each side, for 4 minutes each side.
- u can flip the hash brown on at the 4 minutes are up, if u want to cook it a little longer its up to u. i recommand 4 minutes on each side, but some heat is different.
- now place on plate and salt and pepper to taste and serve.
