Fried Pickles

  1. In bowl, mix 1/2C flour, cornmeal, baking pwdr, garlic pwdr, salt & cayenne.
  2. Stir in beer; let batter stand 15min to thicken.
  3. Meanwhile, in nonstick skillet, heat 2" oil to 375*F. Coat pickles one at a time in remaining 1/3C flour; dip in batter to cover completely.
  4. Fry in batches, turning occasionally until golden; 3-4min.
  5. Drain on paper towel.
