Barbecue Sauce (Bar-B-Que)

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat; saute onion for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until reduced to desired thichness and flavors are well blended (about 20 minutes).
  3. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  4. Use to baste meats and poultry when grilling or roasting or use as a dipping sauce.
