Crab Spread/Dip
- 1 large crab
- 1 pinch of salt
- 500 ml of water
- 3 tbsp of mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp of prepared mustard
- 30 ml of beer
- 1 A dash of piri-piri sauce
- Bring the crab to the boil on a high heat and cook for about 10 minutes in the salt and water.
- once cooked, take the grab out of the water and place to one side until it's cool enough to handle.
- Remove the claws and reserve to be used separately.
- Crack the crab open and remove the white meat, shred the meat through the tips of your fingers, making sure there is no small bones left.
- Add the mayonnaise, mustard, beer and piri-piri to the crab meat and mix well.
- serve with some warm toast.
