Uncooked Refrigerated Bread & Butter Pickles Recipe

  1. Combine cucumbers, bell pepper, onions and salt, cover with water.
  2. Let stand 1 hour, then drain.
  3. Mix together vinegar, celery seed, turmeric; bring to boil for 1 minute.
  4. Cold thoroughly.
  5. Pour vinegar mix over liquid removed cucumber combination.
  6. Place in container with lid and chill at least 2 weeks before using.
  7. Makes 1/3 gallon (a little over a qt).
