Chocolate Chip Banana Boat

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Hold the unpeeled banana so the ends point up.
  3. Create a pocket by slicing it down the middle about 1/2 inch from one end to 1/2 inch from the other, being sure not to cut all the way through.
  4. Place the banana on a small baking sheet, ends still pointing up, and push the ends slightly toward each other to open the banana.
  5. Tuck the chocolate chips evenly in the opening.
  6. Bake the stuffed banana for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the banana is soft and the chips are mostly melted.
  7. Using a fork, gently mash the melted chips into the softened banana.
  8. Serve immediately.
