Apple Pie #1

  1. Make your favorite pie crust (top and bottom).
  2. Boil water, sugar and cream of tartar.
  3. Add whole crackers, 1 at a time.
  4. Boil 2 minutes.
  5. Add remaining ingredients.
  6. Cool.
  7. Pour into prepared pie shell.
  8. Cover with top crust.
  9. Slit top for steam vents.
  10. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
  11. Reduce heat to 350 degrees.
  12. Continue to bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Remove from oven.
  14. Cool.
