Braised King Oyster Mushrooms with Oyster Sauce and Mustard

  1. Here's a pack of king oyster mushrooms.
  2. It weighed about 120 g.
  3. Slice them into pieces with 5 mm thickness.
  4. Put all ingredients into a pot.
  5. Make sure to dissolve the Japanese mustard well.
  6. When it's dissolved, turn the heat on.
  7. Add the sliced mushrooms and cover the pot.
  8. When it comes to a boil, continue simmering and reduce it for 5 minutes over low heat.
  9. When the mushrooms are soft and browned, it's ready to eat.
  10. Top with black pepper and green scallions if you like.
  11. Here's a variation using shiitake mushrooms that also tasted amazing.
