Cafe Cego's Scalloped Potatoes Recipe
- 3 lb red boiling potatoes peeled
- 1 x garlic clove
- 2 c. whipping cream Salt to taste Freshly-grnd white pepper to taste Grnd nutmeg to taste
- 3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. butter cut into bits
- Slice potatoes 1/8-inch thick in food processor or possibly by hand.
- Rub bottom and sides of 2-qt (11- by 7-inch) glass baking dish with garlic clove.
- Arrange potato slices proportionately in dish.
- Whisk cream and salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste in bowl.
- Pour over potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheese over potatoes and dot with bits of butter.
- Bake at 375 degrees till browned and bubbly, 50 min.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
