Pizza sauce
- 4 tomatoes (medium)
- 1 head of garlic
- 1 green chilli pepper (optional)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 salt (to taste)
- 1 ground black pepper (to taste)
- Chop the tomatoes and place in blender with garlic and chilli pepper.
- Blend until it becomes a smooth mixture.
- Pour the blended tomato mixture in a saucepan and cook it on low heat.
- Add the olive oil, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper.
- Cook the sauce for 10-15 minutes.
- Once cooked remove from heat and allow to cool.
- This can be used straight away or placed in jars and can be kept in the fridge for approximetly a week.
