Auntie's Homemade Dressing

  1. Prepare cornbread, let cool, crumble, and place in large bowl.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Chop onion and celery.
  4. Heat the oil and saute onion, celery, and sage for about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Mix cornbread and sauteed mixture.
  6. Stir in chicken broth, egg, salt, and pepper.
  7. Using a fork to toss mixture.
  8. Spoon the dressing into a greased 9x13-inch pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes or until top is golden brown.
