Slow Cooker Meatloaf

  1. Mix all the ingredients.
  2. Ive become lazy and throw it all in the slow cooker from the start.
  3. Try to mix it with your hands as best as you can.
  4. Pack it all into a loaf, as firmly as possible.
  5. This is going to get juicy.
  6. The ingredients (like the Kitchen Bouquet) may not look completely distributed.
  7. Do your best, but dont worry.
  8. It will look and taste uniform in the end.
  9. Cover and set the slow cooker on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours.
  10. Personally, I like to cook this on high for a hour or two to get things cooking.
  11. I then set it to low for the rest of the day.
  12. Once on low, it is very difficult to overcook.
  13. Dinner waits for you this time.
  14. If you wish, you may want to remove some juices near the end to help in browning.
  15. This juice is an excellent base for homemade gravy.
  16. To remove from the slow cooker, I often cut it in half.
  17. Then I put both halves on a platter and cut one half into slices.
  18. We rarely touch the second half until the next day.
