Economical and Flavorful Pork Belly and Cabbage Stir-fry with Salt and Pepper
- 400 grams Thinly sliced pork belly
- 1/3 head Cabbage
- 1 tsp Salt and Pepper (for pre-seasoning)
- 1 tsp Salt and Pepper (for seasoning)
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil (optional)
- Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle on the salt and pepper for pre-seasoning and rub it in.
- Roughly chop the cabbage.
- Heat a pan over high heat and then add the pork belly.
- The fat in the pork belly will melt, so it's not necessary to use oil.
- The pork will stick to the pan at first, so leave it without stirring for 30 seconds.
- Then stir-fry using a wooden spatula.
- Add the salt and pepper for seasoning and stir-fry.
- When it's cooked through, push the meat to the side of the pan and add the cabbage.
- Pile the pork on top of the cabbage.
- Cover with a lid and steam over medium heat for 1 minute.
- Stir and then steam for 1 minute more (This will make the cabbage delicious).
- Turn off the heat, drizzle on the sesame oil, and it's done.
