Soft Hermit Cookies Recipe

• 2 c. raisins
• 1 c. water
• 3 1/2 c. flour
• 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 3/4 c. sugar
• 1 c. shortening
• 2 Large eggs
• 1/2 c. minced nuts

1. Boil water and raisins for 3 min.
2. Cold, don't drain.
3. Cream shortening with sugar.
4. Beat in Large eggs.
5. Stir in raisin mix and vanilla.
6. Add in flour mix.
7. Stir in nuts.
8. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
9. Bake in preheated oven 10-12 min.
