Soysage
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cups soy milk
- 1 cup nutritional yeast flakes
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup soy sauce, tamari
- 3 teaspoons oregano
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 2 teaspoons allspice
- Mix ingredients together.
- Oil oven-proof bowl or empty tin can.
- Fill it and cover with foil.
- Steam on rack for 1 1/2 hours, or pressure cook in 5 cups water for 30 minutes.
- Let cool, then slice and fry.
