Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers

  1. Remove stem and cut peppers in half lengthwise.
  2. Remove seeds and discard.
  3. Take the pepper halves ans soak in ice water for 30 minutes(this makes the peppers not so hot).
  4. Drain the peppers.
  5. With a butter knife, spread cream cheese into each jalapeno half, level full.
  6. Take the package of bacon and cut the slices in half.
  7. Wrap each cheese stuffed pepper with 1/2 slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  8. Place them in a shallow pan.
  9. (A cookie sheet with sides works fine.)
  10. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  11. Put the peppers in the center for 30 minutes.
  12. After that, turn your broiler on and place the peppers directly under it to crisp bacon.
  13. Serve warm or cold, they taste great any way served.
