Egg Custard Pie

  1. Bake pastry shell at 400F for 5 minutes, let cool.
  2. Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, beat until blended.
  3. Gradually stir in milk, mix well.
  4. Pour filling into pastry shell, sprinkle with nutmeg.
  5. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 325F and bake an additional 35 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.Cool to room temp before serving .
  6. Store in fridge.
