Pear Jelly - Pear Preserves

  1. Wash and peel pears.
  2. Cut into large bite size pieces.
  3. For each cup of pears, mix one cup of sugar.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Cover and let sit overnight.
  6. Put all into a big pot and bring to a slow boil and let boil until dark golden color.
  7. (this will take several hours).
  8. Put into hot jars with hot lids to seal.
