Ginger Lemon Vermoncktail Recipe margaretelise

  1. Chop ginger and let it soak in vodka for at least 4 hours.
  2. The smaller the pieces and the longer it soaks, the spicier it will be.
  3. If you slice it into disks, smash them with the end of a heavy knife to break them up a bit and release more flavor.
  4. Squeeze 1/2 a lemon into the ginger vodka, stir and strain.
  5. Using fork or small whisk, pour and mix in the maple syrup.
  6. A shaker would probably work too.
  7. Divide the mixture into two glasses filled with ice and top with ginger ale.
  8. I preferred 2 parts vodka mix to 1 part ginger ale.
  9. Enjoy!
