Thanksgiving Bites over Fresh Cranberry Sauce
- 1 pound Ground Chicken
- 2 whole Apples, Cored And Finely Diced
- 1/2 whole White Onion, Diced
- 5 leaves Sage
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/2 cups Applesauce
- 1 cup Italian Breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3 cups Fresh Cranberries
- 1 cup Water
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly combine all of the meatball ingredients, form into your preferred size meatballs, and line them up on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Place in oven and cook uncovered for 40 minutes, until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the meatballs are golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the cranberry sauce.
- Place the cranberries, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Using a whisk, combine ingredients.
- Bring to a boil and whisk again.
- Continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes until the cranberries have burst and the sauce is formed.
- Remove from heat.
- To plate, place desired amount of cranberry sauce on the plate and top with meatballs.
