Fireside Hamburger Pouches
- 1 pound Ground Beef/sirloin
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Montreal Steak Seasoning (optional)
- 4 whole Potatoes, Medium, Thinly Sliced
- 4 teaspoons Olive Oil
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 4 pieces Thinly Sliced Onion
- Foil Squares
- Non-stick Spray
- 8 slices American Cheese (or Cheese Of Preference)
- Pre-heat grill to medium-high heat.
- Combine salt and ground beef, and make into patties.
- Sprinkle a grill or steak seasoning on top of the patties if you like.
- Spray foil squares with non-stick spray.
- Layer the potato on the foil in an approximately 4 inch mound.
- I layer them with a little salt and pepper and olive oil, top with the hamburger patty and a slice of onion.
- Top with another square of sprayed foil and seal the edges.
- Make sure they are well sealed since the steam will do the cooking here.
- Place on the grill for 10-15 minutes depending on how you like your patty cooked.
- Remove packets from the fire and open carefully.
- Lay 2 slices of cheese in each packet and close it to allow the cheese to melt.
- These are good just like this.
- They are also good with a little brush of BBQ sauce on the patty.
