Bacon & Sharp Cheddar Quiche
- 2 unbaked pie crusts
- 7 eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 cup bacon
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 23 teaspoon nutmeg
- 12 cup cottage cheese
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Bake both piecrusts for 11 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately brush with yolk of 1 egg.
- Mix all ingredients except bacon and cheese together (use remaining egg white).
- Place 1/2 cup bacon and 1 cup of cheddar into each piecrust.
- Cover with egg mixture.
- Bake at 375 for 38 - 40 minutes.
