Waldorf Whip Salad Mold Recipe

  1. Dissolve gelatin in warm water, cold.
  2. Add in 1 Tbsp.
  3. lemon juice, mayonnaise, celery, walnuts and apples; mix well.
  4. Refrigeratetill mix is the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
  5. Refrigerateevaporated lowfat milk in refrigerator ice cube tray till soft ice crystals form around edges (10-15 min).
  6. Whip till stiff (1 minute).
  7. Add in the remaining lemon juice.
  8. Whip till very stiff (1-2 min longer).
  9. Fold evaporated lowfat milk (whipped) into gelatin mix.
  10. Spoon into 5 c. mold.
  11. Refrigeratetill set (approximately 2 hrs).
  12. Unmold on salad greens.
  13. Garnish with walnut halves and apple slices.
  14. Serves 8.
  15. Turn an ordinary Waldorf Salad into a creamy luscious offering.
  16. A nutty thing to do but well worth it!
