Frikadeller
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 pound Ground Pork
- 1/2 pounds Ground Veal
- 1/2 cups Club Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Mace
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Pepper
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 whole Onion, Sliced
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 cups Brewed Coffee
- 1 cup Water
- Grind the various meats three times.
- Some butchers will do this for you.
- Mix ground meat with salt and pepper, mace and club soda.
- Mixture will be very wet.
- The club soda is what will make the meatballs very tender.
- Form into meatballs and brown in a skillet.
- Melt butter in a separate skillet.
- Add sliced onion, and sprinkle with the sugar.
- Cook until goloden brown.
- Pour coffee over, and then water.
- Cook until thickened.
- Add the meatballs to the gravy, and heat.
