Pepper Steak

  1. Cut beef into paper-thin slices.
  2. Heat salad oil in large skillet over high heat.
  3. Add beef slices; cook briefly, just until red color disappears.
  4. Add peppers, scallions, and celery.
  5. Cook 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Blend water with cornstarch; stir in remaining ingredients, except rice.
  7. Add quickly to beef mixture, stirring constantly until slightly thickened and boiling.
  8. Serve with hot rice.
