Hearty CHEEZ WHIZ Breakfast Bake
- 1 lb. (450 g) Italian turkey sausage, removed from casings
- 1 pkg. (8 oz./227 g) sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup each chopped green and red peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped onions King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 cup Cheez Whiz Cheese Spread, divided
- 8 thick whole wheat bread slices, torn into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 cup Cracker Barrel Shredded Double Cheddar Cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- Crumble sausage into nonstick skillet; cook on medium-high heat 5 to 7 min.
- or until done, stirring frequently.
- Add vegetables and thyme; cook 3 to 5 min.
- or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Drain.
- Stir in 1/4 cup Cheez Whiz.
- Spread bread onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with shredded cheese and sausage mixture.
- Whisk eggs, milk and remaining Cheez Whiz until well blended; pour over sausage mixture.
- Cover with foil.
- Refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator 30 min.

- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake casserole, covered, 45 min.
- Heat broiler.
- Uncover casserole; broil, 6 inches from heat, 3 to 4 min.
