Orange Syrup

  1. Combine sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil; stir until sugar has dissolved.
  3. Combine juice and cornstarch in a bowl; pour into sugar syrup.
  4. Simmer gently until thick, 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Add butter; stir until it melts.
  6. Serve warm.
