Barbecue Sauce with Mustard

  1. Combine sugar, oregano.
  2. thyme, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and cornstarch in a small saucepan.
  3. Stir in enough vinegar to make a paste.
  4. Combine molasses, ketchup, mustard, oil and remaining vinegar; add to herb paste.
  5. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat; cool completely.
  8. Pour into a glass jar; cover tightly.
  9. Store in refrigerator up to 3 months.
  10. Best used for chicken, turkey, ham or hot dogs.
