Dijon Potatoes Au Gratin

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Cook and stir shallots in 1 Tbsp.
  3. of the margarine in medium saucepan on medium heat until tender.
  4. Add half-and-half, mustard and remaining 1 Tbsp.
  5. margarine; cook 5 min., stirring frequently.
  6. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Add 1/2 cup of the cheese and the basil; cook until cheese is completely melted, stirring frequently.
  8. Layer potatoes and cream sauce alternately in greased 2-qt.
  9. round casserole dish; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
  10. Cover with foil.
  11. Bake 45 to 55 min.
  12. or until potatoes are tender.
