Pronto Spanish Rice and Beef
- 1/2 each: onion and red or green pepper, chopped
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (28 oz/796 mL) diced tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. each: salt, dried oregano and garlic powder
- 1-1/2 cups instant white rice
- 3/4 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Grated Cheese
- BROWN onion, pepper and beef; drain.
- Add water, tomatoes and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil and boil about 2 min.
- Stir in rice.
- Cover and remove from heat.
- Let stand for 5 min.
- STIR in half of the cheese.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
