Honey Orange Cookies
- 2/3 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 to 4 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Combine butter, brown sugar and sugar in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed until creamy.
- Add honey and egg; continue beating until well mixed, scraping bowl if necessary.
- Add all remaining cookie ingredients; beat at low speed until well mixed.
- Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls.
- Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges start to brown.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.
- Cool completely.
- Combine powdered sugar and enough orange juice for desired spreading consistency in bowl; mix until smooth.
- Spread frosting over cooled cookies.
