Smoked Meatloaf wrapped in Bacon
- 2 lb Hamburger
- 1 lb Bacon (regular cut)
- 1 cup Bread crumbs (plain)
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 2 tsp Lawarys season salt
- 2 tsp dried Oregano
- 1 tsp dried Basil
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Celery seeds
- Mix the eggs, bread crumbs and seasonings well then mix it with the hamburger.
- Shape meatloaf into a log and refrigerate overnight.
- (the meatloaf is very loose and it needs to be refrigerated overnight to help set and firm up properly).
- Just before ready to cook wrap with bacon.
- Set up your grill for Indirect Heat.
- Placed meatloaf on the grill over the drip pan and add a handful or two of wet hickory wood chips.
- Cook at about 350F until you have an internal temperature of 170F.
- This should take about an hour and a half.
- Let rest 20 minutes before carving.
