An Easy Cafe-style Rice Bowl with Avocado and Pork
- 2 rice bowls Warm cooked rice
- 1/2 Avocado
- 60 grams Pork (thinly sliced or other kind)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp White sesame seeds
- 1 Green onion or shredded seaweed (optional)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1/2 heaping tablespoon Sugar
- 1 Mayonnaise for finishing
- Boil hot water in a small pot and boil bite-size pork.
- When the color of the pork changes, it's cooked.
- Drain in a sieve.
- Wash the small pot you used in Step 1 and put in all ingredients in.
- Keep stirring until the sauce thickens and comes to a boil on middle to high heat.
- Plate cooked rice and transfer the pork from step 1 to the plate.
- Arrange cubed avocado and lay a soft boiled egg (or an egg yolk) in the middle.
- Top with white sesame seeds, mayonnaise, green onion or shredded seaweed.
- Pour the sauce from Step 2 right before eating and mix it while enjoying it.
