Custard For Pie Or Filling For Cream Puffs Recipe
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
- Heat butter.
- Add in sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Add in slowly the lowfat milk.
- Heat to boiling over heat.
- Add in egg yolks and cook for 2 min longer.
- Add in vanilla, stirring constantly.
- Cold thoroughly.
- Fill cream puff crusts.
- Sufficient custard for 12 or possibly 1 (9 inch) pie.
